GuideStar
GuideStar's mission is to help improve the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector through the collection and presentation of exhaustive information about nonprofit organizations. It includes recent news about non-profits, a database of US non-profits, classifieds and contacts, and more.
Internet Nonprofit Center
The Internet Nonprofit Center (INC) is a project of The Evergreen State Society of Seattle, Washington. It offers information for and about nonprofit organizations in the United States. It includes The Locator to help clarify the legal name and exact location of any nonprofit registered with the Internal Revenue Service, a large FAQ ("Frequently Asked Questions"), the Library with essays and analysis of the nonprofit sector from a variety of points of view, and the Form 990 Project with demonstrations of practical steps toward the day when it will be reasonable to expect non-profits to use the Internet to file the required information with the Internal Revenue Service and also make the same information available to the public through the World-Wide Web
Philanthropy News Network
PNN's services include Philanthropy Journal Online, the only daily online news service reporting on non-profits, serving more than 140,000 pages every month, the Non-profits and Technology conference series, the Non-profits & Technology newspaper (receive a free subscription), Philanthropy Journal Alert (free electronic newsletter), and Nonprofit Jobs (a listing for nonprofit jobs, updated daily).
Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle of Philanthropy calls itself "the newspaper of the non-profit world." It's published every other week, it is a major source for charity leaders, fund raisers, grant makers, and other people involved in the philanthropic enterprise. Their Web site offers the complete contents of the current issue, an archive of articles from the past year, and two years' worth of grant listings -- all fully searchable.
Idealist
Idealist, AKA Action Without Borders is a global coalition of individuals and organizations working to build a world where all people can live free, dignified and productive lives. Action Without Borders is independent of any government, political ideology or religious creed.
